Raising All The Boats

Our Company Principal first heard the quote, “People Tend to Support that Which They Help Create” over 40 years ago at a Student Leadership Conference.  It was so profound to him that he wrote it down and continued to write is down several more times over the length of the conference.  People want to be part of making something great and they want to see those efforts improve the lives of everyone in their sphere.

The process of change management is both science (personality types, human chemistry, inherent skills, learning styles, etc.), but it is also an art, because done correctly, it can elicit a positive emotional response.  Making people part of the change process – helping all levels of the organization understand and accept the “why” something has to change is a significant steppingstone to implementing change and building a culture that will embrace change in the future.

We focus on organizational development that improves the organization, but also “raises all boats”, by building a team that embraces change – now and into the future.  People tend to support that which they help create – it was true over 40 years ago and it is especially true today.
